Standard Time
Richard Balleau came to Grinnell from Dallas, Texas in October 2005, after a sucessful 25 year career in the financial services industry including sales manager for a national discount broker, Chief Compliance Officer for a large independent firm based outside of Boston, Massachusetts and head of the Anti-Money Laundering Division for a major institutional public finance firm in Dallas.  In 2005 Richard gave up life in the big city for small town Grinnell and the love of a good woman (his lovely wife Kay).  Richard joined KGRN as a part timer in 2006, helping with the local sports broadcasts.  On May 8, 2008, Richard's Sunday afternoon show debuted.  Standard Time takes you back in time to the days of the songs from the Great American Songbook.  Richard claims his knowledge of these great songs comes from a mis-spent youth spending time in the Music Manor on Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach, Florida where he grew up.  Send your requests and dedications to standardtime.kgrn@yahoo.com.
